Institutional monitoring and litigation risk: Evidence from employee disputes

چکیده

In this article, we investigate how institutional investors help mitigate business-related risks in a corporate environment. Using large sample of employment disputes, litigations, and court cases, find that play significant role reducing litigation. We observe firms with larger shares ownership have lower incidence lawsuits long-term are more effective at decreasing employee mistreatment. Our results suggest can improve the work environment future The improvement conditions has been shown to increase firm's value through increased output, reduced litigation, direct indirect costs. shed light on effectiveness monitoring litigation risk.
